Wedding Details

gift card basket wedding details

Incorporating fun wedding details that are special to you is a great way to personalize your event. This bike that held gifts and well wishes belongs to one of our past brides. Her and her now hubby love to ride bikes. This was a creative way to include one of their personal hobbies into their special day. The entire wedding had whimsical details that fit our couple perfectly. Sometimes the most subtle displays can make a grand impact, and we always love infusing elements that compliment our client’s theme or wedding decor.

Wedding Shoes | Alice and Olivia

Sparkly wedding shoes…who doesn’t love them??!!! Ever wondered what Dorothy felt like wearing those red glitter shoes? Why wonder when you can have the real thing.

Last year we had a fun time designing a confetti-themed wedding for one of our clients. These Alice and Olivia pumps were worn by our bride, and they provided the perfect touch of whimsy and glam to compliment her wedding decor. It was subtle way to incorporate something sparkly into her personal bridal style.

Whatever your style may be, have fun with it! We love it when our brides purchase colored or sparkly shoes. While no one else may notice them, we think they make for a great detail and added personal touch on your wedding day.

Styled Shoot | Christmas

real housewives of new jersey dina manzo christmas styled shoot

With Christmas upon us, I thought I’d share some holiday inspiration. Two years ago I had the opportunity of working on a project with Dina Manzo, star of the Real Housewives of New Jersey. I styled a few tablescapes for her online planning party course “Dina’s Party School”, offered through Lovegevity

This course is perfect for those that love to craft and create. By using practical, everyday items to mix and match your own signature style, Dina teaches you how to plan for any kind of event.

Bridal Style | Vera Wang

vera wang wedding gown bridal style

Here at MB Wedding Design and Events, we love to celebrate your unique bridal style! Like this Vera Wang wedding gown, which is simply gorgeous. Our bride felt like a true princess all day, and with good reason. This dress fit her style and persona so perfectly.

For years, Vera has created whimsical, elegant and true princess-like gowns, that have been worn by many brides and celebrities alike. It’s no doubt her designs have paved the way for many other designers, and she has created and influenced many notable trends in the wedding industry and bridal market.

Whether your style is classic or modern, we truly feel that the bridal gown is the one aspect of your wedding that is all you. While many other elements are important, it usually takes both the bride and groom to make a final selection. That isn’t the case with the wedding gown. That’s the one element that only you can decide on. You’ll consider the opinions and feedback of those who came to shop with you (mother, bridesmaid or friend), but ultimately you’re going to select the gown that speaks to you, the gown that makes you feel beautiful inside and out, and the gown that has you shedding a few tears in the bridal shop. This is how you know you found the one!

Classically Elegant Weddings

classically elegant weddings with a sophisticated design

Classically elegant weddings never go out of style…true fact. This black and ivory tabletop design was from a wedding we designed + planned a few years back at the Julia Morgan Ballroom inside the Merchants Exchange Building in San Francisco.

The ballroom was designed by Julia Morgan and Willis Polk in the style of Hearst Castle, and became an architectural gem in the city for hosting fabulous parties. From weddings to social galas, this venue can host any special event, both big and small. It truly is one of our favorite event spaces in San Francisco.

Throwback Thursday | Indian Weddings

Multi-cultural celebrations, Indian weddings

Indian Weddings! Oh how we love them. These multi-day celebrations are rich in color and filled with exquisite decor, intricate henna designs, lavish Indian wedding garb and lots of yummy food.  This throwback Thursday image is from on of our very first Indian Weddings we planned and designed 8 yrs ago at Trentadue Winery in Geyserville, CA.

While I admit that we were a bit inexperienced at the time when it came to Indian weddings, we worked a total of 14 + hours on the day of in 103 degree weather to execute this grand affair. It definitely prepared us for future Indian weddings, and now we can proudly say we have planned + designed a myriad of multi-cultural weddings and are very knowledgeable in Sikh and Hindu traditions.

Let us help you plan your Indian wedding!

Throwback Thursday | Rustic Charm Styled Shoot

Lovely floral arrangement for our Rustic Charm Styled Shoot

This Rustic Charm Styled Shoot was designed a few years back for Today’s Bride SF Magazine. Before rustic weddings became a trend, we were dreaming of soft and pretty flowers, such as peonies and ranunculus beautifully arranged in a wooden container for this particular shoot.

The challenge was to create two versions of this table, one lovely and one lavish. Our lovely table consisted of sweet and simple details that would be relatively cost effective to implement into your wedding design, while our lavish display was just that, lavish, for those couples willing to splurge a bit. The image above is of our lovely table, and we still LOVE it after all of these years.

While most of the rustic weddings you see now in days contain decor that has been overly used, such as the infamous mason jar, something about sweet fresh florals in shades of orange, green and white paired with wooden elements never goes out of style.
